We hosted two workshop in March 2025 that focus on how DM officers are monitoring the impact of design codes. It was a great opportunity to hear directly from design pathfinder local authorities who have been actively using codes about how DM officers are monitoring the impact their code use has had.
This was one of a series of online workshops PAS has hosted with MHCLG and the local authority Design Code pathfinders to share information about how Development Management officers can positively engage in the production, use and monitoring of Design Codes.
We hosted a couple of sessions, specifically aimed at Development Management officers, that focus on how DM officers are monitoring the impact of design codes. It was a great opportunity to hear directly from Uttlesford District Council and Lake District National Park as design pathfinder local authorities who have been actively using codes about how DM officers are monitoring the impact their code use has had. As well as Uttlesford and the Lake District, MHCLG gave an update on the present national position on design code production and the work of the design pathfinder project.
