Wigan Council worked closely with survivors of domestic abuse to drive a step change in the borough’s response to this complex social problem. This included an award-winning media and engagement campaign, 'Love is Not Abuse', which challenged widespread assumptions about what constitutes domestic abuse and the most effective ways to communicate with victims.

Through Her Eyes is Southwark Council’s campaign tackling misogyny. Centred on a highly impactful video, the campaign encourages men and boys to challenge their own attitudes and behaviour, and that of others. This was distilled into the one key campaign message - 'see it, stop it'.

Greater Manchester is the first city-region to develop a Health and Justice Strategy. It is fully inclusive of people with a learning disability and autistic people. It was the first time that health, social care, and criminal justice services came together to look at the issues in an integrated wider strategy. This case study forms part of the What Good Looks Like report on people with a learning disability and autistic people.

Furniture poverty is the inability to access, or afford to buy or maintain, any household furniture or appliance item that is essential for a socially acceptable standard of living. At least 26 per cent of social housing tenants live in furniture poverty - yet only 2 per cent of social homes are let as furnished.

Led by Luton Borough Council’s public health team and Bedfordshire Police, a wide variety of organisations are working together to improve the support for women involved in on-street sexual exploitation in Luton. They have developed a 10-year strategy and action plan which aims to reduce the harm and impact from on-street sexual exploitation and support women into routes out of it.

Coventry Family Valued launched in April 2021 as part of the Department for Education’s Strengthening Families, Protecting Children Programme. The overarching aim of Coventry Family Valued was to support more children to live safely at home with their families and within their communities; recognising that for most children, their outcomes are better when they live with family. The Reunification Project was implemented as part of Coventry Family Valued.
