We work with practitioners, government departments, the HSE and other organisations as local authorities strive to improve their performance on health and safety at work by:
- signposting guidance on obligations as employers
- providing the local authority employers view to government departments and agencies to ensure they are adequately considered within their policy-making process.
- Facilitating the health and safety practitioners panel, which draws together local authority health and safety practitioners from regions across England and Wales, as well as representatives from the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health and HSE.
