Yes, there are separate links for Registered Social Workers, Social Care Workers, and Occupational Therapists.
You can share the same link with all those participating, i.e., adults and children's social workers together.
This year there is no separate organisational survey for principal social workers to complete.
The survey is for social workers, occupational therapists, and social care practitioners.
Yes. The survey will ask each respondent to indicate their role type and a distinction will be made in the reports between the different experiences of staff in these varying roles.
Please note, as it is our priority as researchers to protect the anonymity of individuals, we will only be able to report on a particular category (e.g., occupational therapists) if we receive a minimum of ten responses.
Yes, to help you to maximise engagement, our team can provide regular updates on the number of responses received. Please email [email protected] your number of participating social workers, occupational therapists, and other social care practitioners to receive updates.
The national and regional reports will be published followed by more in depth local reports for your organisation.
Our primary responsibility as researchers is to protect individual anonymity. We would be able to provide the raw data, but to prevent the possibility of an individual being identified through this data, we may need to redact certain information.
As a non-member authority or NHS trust (unless in partnership with your local authority), your organisation’s participation this year would attract a small fee, as sadly the LGA funding can only be extended to member authorities. Under this scenario, you could choose to retain the standard survey offered, or use the opportunity to commission a bespoke survey, to apply new elements such as additional questions and local branding. If you would be interested in this opportunity, please do not hesitate to contact [email protected] for further information and appropriate pricing.
If you wish, you can adapt this accompanying text into any communications when distributing the survey amongst colleagues.
“Each year, the LGA carries out an Employer Standards Health Check. The purpose of the health check is to better understand the experiences of social workers, occupational therapists, and other social care professionals. It is designed to find out what they think about their working environment, what factors influence them to remain engaged with their work and to stay with their organisations, and how well employers are delivering the standards. The survey takes just 10-15 minutes of your time to complete. Please do fill yours in and make sure you have your say. Simply click the link: (your unique link ID here) to complete the survey”
