It is important to fully prepare your staff for Care Quality Commission (CQC) assessment.

This short booklet aims to give those responsible for preparing for CQC assessment an ‘off the shelf’ set of information and guidance to share with staff.

It contains the information staff need to understand, the CQC assessment process for local authority adult social care, and what staff can do to prepare.

The booklet is available as an editable Word and PDF format, should you wish to add your own council logo and a message from the director of adult social services, to make the resource more familiar, relevant and targeted to your staff.

Councils can use either version of the document freely to support their preparations, but must credit PCH with a set for of words.

Where there are diagrams or pictures in the document, please ensure Partners in Care and Health is credited when replicating or using elsewhere.

This resource is part of our suite of offers and resources to help councils prepare for CQC assessment and sits alongside the staff workshop, for those who have had their CQC notification, and the 'Preparing staff for CQC assessment' toolkit'.

Please note that users will need access to Adobe to edit the PDF version.
